Various locations in Leiden

In the weekend preceding Rembrandt van Rijn’s birthday (July 15th), Leiden’s Pieterswijk area will be restored to its original 17th century glory. The city of Leiden has not changed much in 400 years, and both Rembrandt and the Pilgrims could still easily find their way around town today.

During Leiden’s Rembrandt Days, tens of thousands of visitors can experience the city as it once was.
Stories and musical theatre introduce people to the Pilgrims, who lived in Leiden between 1609 and 1620.
