Jeremy Bangs, director of the Leiden American Pilgrim Museum, is creating an exhibit on the Pilgrims’ libraries; the ideas and works that influenced the Pilgrims and travelled with them to the new world. Through extensive research Dr. Bangs knows which books the Pilgrims owned, giving us an insight in their intellectual world. The exhibition ‘Intellectual Baggage’ will be realized in the Congregational Library in Boston, Massachusetts in 2020.
